Safety Alert Update: Secure Status has been lifted for Gering Public Schools.
Safety Alert Update: Law enforcement officials have implemented a building to building controlled release of students. Students are being released directly to parents and bus students are being escorted directly to the buses. Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking parents to pick up your child (ren) from school today, if they had plans to walk home.
Due to suspected criminal activity in the neighborhood near Gering Junior High, we have placed all Gering Public School buildings in SECURE. We are working with law enforcement to do a secure controlled dismissal. Please follow the instructions of school and law enforcement officials. Buses will be delayed.
