Varsity Golf was led by Kenna Bowron(4th Place) and Jaylei Cervantes(10th) to finish tied 2nd as a TEAM at the Sidney Invitational yesterday. Great Job Bulldogs Ladies and Coach Boswell.
Varsity Softball played a Double Header yesterday with Hershey and won 8-0 and 12-0 to continue their 6 game winning streak. Let's keep it rolling against Scottsbluff on Thursday night in Scottsbluff!!

ATTENTION GHS STUDENTS/PARENTS: GHS will be implementing NEW parking & student drop-off/pick-up procedures. The entrance off of Pacific Boulevard will now become a ONE-WAY STREET to the high school! We ask that parents and students be mindful of the change and follow the new roadway pattern! This is the 1st change of many with our school parking lot. Communication on this process will continue as changes are made!
GHS Students/Parents: Gering High School will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Tuesday, August 15th, at 6:00 p.m. at GHS! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the building, access information about our Career Pathway Programs & speak with WNCC representatives for Dual Enrollment Classes!
ATTENTION COLLEGE DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS: All students that are enrolled in college dual credit courses (even those taught at GHS) are required to attend an orientation on Tuesday, August 15th at Western Nebraska Community College at the WNCC Performing Arts Center at 1:00 p.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. Students will tour the campus, learn about college resources they have access to and expectations for the year!
FRESHMEN Students: Freshmen Orientation will be Tuesday, August 15th at Gering High School at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 11:00 a.m. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with our GHS team, school procedures and explore our building! Welcome & we will see you all soon!
Attention Students! CHROMEBOOK CHECK-OUT will be Tuesday, August 15th in the GHS Library from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The GPS Media Center Dell Chromebook Permissions & Acceptable Use Form must be signed by both student and guardian before check-out! Also, there is an OPTIONAL Chromebook Insurance fee of $20.00 that can be paid at the front office.

GHS Families attending tonight's Fall sports meeting, please note that our parking lot is currently under construction. Please plan to park in the gravel lot by the tennis courts or the paved lots on the East side of the building, or along streets as you are able. Doors will be open on the North side of the building as well as the front Main Doors. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Don't forget to join us in the GHS Auditorium at 7:00 pm this evening for the Fall Sports meeting. During this time you can meet with our new Acitivty Director and coaches to get any and all questions answered. Along with the informational meeting, you will also have time to purchase your activity cards, pay the acitivty fee, or get assistance with your student's registration.
Be on the lookout for the GHS Back to School letter! The letter will serve as a guide to various locations on our website to get your students ready for the new year. Please make sure students and parents review and sign the Google Apps and Chromebook forms as well as review the GHS handbook and complete the Statement of Acknowledgment handbook form prior to checking out a Chromebook. All three forms mentioned above will be included with the back to school letter.
