Lincoln teacher's got started bright and early today in a staff forum with Superintendent of Gering Public Schools, Dr. Nicole Regan. We appreciate Dr. Regan stopping by to talk with staff and we look forward to having her visit Lincoln Elementary again.
Last Friday, 5th grade students from Lincoln went to the high school to learn how to properly fold the American Flag. Members of the American Legion were on hand to help students and gave each student their very own flag.
McTeacher's Night is back!! Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. Staff from Lincoln Elementary will be working in the dining room and McDonald's will donate 20% of all sales from 5-7 p.m. to the Lincoln Elementary Booster Club!! Give mom the night off or just come by for a drink or dessert!!

Lincoln students practiced bus evacuation drills this morning with bus drivers from First Student.
While Mr. Justin has been out helping with his new baby boy, Mr. Ben Miller has been filling in as janitor at Lincoln. We wanted to thank him for all his hard work over the last two weeks with a picture with fourth and fifth grade. We are happy to get Mr. Justin back on Monday but we will miss Mr. Ben!!

Third grade has been busy in math using several different methods to practice their math facts!! They have created their own multiplication fact game. They have teamed up to learn facts and they have even used technology to practice math facts.
Third grade has been busy solving math problems and investigating area using square tiles.
International Walk to School Day is tomorrow October 6, 2021. Please consider dropping students off a block or 2 from school and letting them walk. We will have adult supervision at various corners to assist with crossing the street. Parents/Adults are encouraged to walk with students too! We will culminate the event with a short assembly inside.

October is an important time of the school year. The first quarter of the 2021-2022 school year ends on October 14. Lincoln Elementary will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 18-21. This is our first official opportunity to get together with you to discuss your student’s learning.
We look forward to meeting with you to collaborate on ways to support your child’s learning. Conferences will be located in the classrooms and will be limited to ten–fifteen minutes.

Mr. Patton's second grade class read a fairytale about a magic fish. Their art project was based on the writing prompt "If I had a fish that could grant me a wish, I would wish for......" These students created some amazing fish!
Third grade students investigate how to move an object without touching it.
Mrs. Cline and Mrs. Mueller captured some great pictures of our 5th grade students collaborating on today's Constitution Day Presentation. They did such a great job. We are really proud of their efforts and how they took ownership of the project.
