Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our future 6th graders to GMS!
They got a firsthand look at what a true middle school day is like, and we couldn't be more excited to have them join the GMS family next school year.

GMS No School Reminder!
No School for Gering Middle School Students ONLY - April 25th
Gering Middle School is hosting several area school districts for a regional Quiz Bowl during the morning of April 25th and then in the afternoon Gering 5th grade students will be exploring GMS in anticipation of their upcoming building transition.
🌟 GMS students lit up the night at the Neon Dance hosted by Builder’s Club! A huge shout-out to everyone who helped make it a success — from the organizers to the amazing chaperones. Thank you for making it a night to remember!
Congratulations to Joey Meier for receiving silver medalist at state leadership competition for FCCLA! Way to represent!
🎷🎶 Shoutout to the GMS Jazz Band! 🎶🎷
GMS Jazz Band competed in the Central Nebraska Jazz Festival yesterday. They were the only middle school band competing against high school groups and came out receiving an Excellent (II) rating as a team! Special shoutout to Emme Tofflemire & Olivia Erdman for receiving outstanding solo awards! Amazing job jazz band!

April 2nd was Paraprofessional Day!
A huge thank you to our amazing group of paraprofessionals at GMS! We are so grateful for everything you do for both our staff and students. Your hard work, dedication, and support make such a positive difference in our school community. We appreciate you more than words can express! 💙
Ms. Lively's 7th grade Pre-Algebra students had a blast putting their math skills to the test at the Pre-Algebra Carnival Day!
Ms. Osborn's 6th grade art class got a little scientific! They used the scientific method to conduct an experiment and discovered what happens when fluorescent and pearlescent tempera paints are mixed. Keep up the great work! 🎨
