Shout out to the Gering High School.....We have been awarded the College Access Grant ($40,000...$10,000/year for 4 years) from EducationQuest. The purpose of the grant is to increase the number of students who pursue education beyond high school. The grant funds will be used to develop and support college access activities.

Get out and support your bulldogs!! We have plenty of opportunities for you to support your bulldogs through this weekend, so please get out and cheer on our students. Today, Thursday Cross Country travels to Scottsbluff Country Club for their opening meet. Running begins at 3:00 with High School girls. Boys JV Tennis travels to Alliance for a triangular vs Alliance and Scottsbluff. Our JV's will play Scottsbluff first at approximately 3:00. Softball is at home vs Scottsbluff. JV's start at 5:00 with varsity at 7:00. Game will be livestreamed on Striv. https://striv.tv/channel/gering/ Volleyball travels to Alliance with C team playing at 4:30 followed by JV and Varsity. Friday Opening football game with Torrington at home. Game starts at 7:00. There will be a tailgate before the game so come have a burger or brat. This game will be livestreamed as well. https://striv.tv/channel/gering/ Saturday Boys Varsity Tennis will be in McCook for the McCook Invitational. Matches start at 9:30 a.m. CT Varsity Cross Country travels to Fort Collins for a meet. High School Varsity event begins at 11:00 a.m. JV Softball travels to Holyoke, CO for a doubleheader. Games begin at 10:00 a.m.

The High School Fall sports meeting was a great success. You still have time to get your physicals turned in if you're having difficulties uploading them. Bring them to the High School and we can upload them for you. While you're here, don't forget to get your activity pass for the year. Family is $150.00, Adults are $75.00, and Students are $25.00.

It's Prom week, Bulldogs! Gering Kiwanis is once again partnering with the GHS Booster Club to host the post-prom party! It will be held at Classic Lanes Bowling from 11:30pm to 1:30am on Saturday. Games, bowling, pool and lots of awesome prizes! Entrance is $3/person or $5/couple.
