ExExplore, Experience & Plan Your Path
Gering High School invites current 8th grade students and their families to 8th Grade Preview Night on Thursday, March 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the GHS Gym.
This evening is designed to help families explore what high school has to offer and start planning for a smooth, successful transition to 9th grade. It will also be the exciting finish to the previous day, following the 8th graders’ Career Pathways Exploration Day, where students spend the day learning about different career pathways, programs, and opportunities at GHS.
Highlights of the evening:
Building tours – see classrooms, labs, and spaces where students will learn and grow
Food provided – enjoy a light meal while exploring GHS
Club & Student Organization Fair – learn about extracurricular activities and how to get involved
Families will also have the chance to ask questions and connect with staff, discovering ways for students to stay engaged, build friendships, and get the most out of their high school experience.
