Gering Community,
The Gering Public Schools Board of Education met this evening to review applications for the interim superintendent position for the 2026–27 school year.
Two applications were received, and the Board has chosen to move both candidates forward in the interview process. The candidates are current Gering Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Kory Knight, and Michael Apple, Superintendent of Conestoga Public Schools.
The Board of Education interviews will be open to the public during a special Board meeting on Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Gering High School Library.
