As we gear up for an incredible new school year, Gering Middle School is proud to welcome several new staff members to our Bulldog family — alongside familiar faces stepping into fresh roles to keep supporting our students with excellence.
Welcome to Our New Staff:
Keisa Gardner, 7th ELA — A proud Gering alum, Keisa is returning to share her passion for literacy and empower our students to grow as readers and writers.
Jenna Libsack, 6th ELA — Jenna joins us from Northfield Elementary and brings valuable experience and enthusiasm as she transitions to middle school ELA.
Madi Schlaepfer, 8th Math — Another Gering alum, Madi is excited to help our students build confidence and success in math.
Sandra Hermida, JAG Teacher (Jobs for America’s Graduates) — Sandra steps in to mentor and support students in their career readiness and life skills through the JAG program.
Exciting Internal Shifts:
Krista Wiedeman moves to 6th Grade ELA, continuing her dedication to fostering strong literacy skills in our youngest middle school Bulldogs.
Andrea Schlothauer will lead 6th Grade Math as we start the year, expertly guiding students until Monty Zeiler returns from military service in mid-September. We thank Mr. Zeiler for his service and eagerly await his return.
Denise Jensen transitions to Special Education, bringing her commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
We’re confident that these talented educators and staff will continue to build on Gering Middle School’s tradition of excellence and create an inspiring, supportive environment where every student can thrive. Here’s to a successful year ahead—Go Bulldogs!
