Gering Public Schools is excited to host the 7th Annual 4th and 5th Grade Track Meet on Monday, May 4, 2026. This event is a great opportunity for our students to end the year, challenge themselves, and celebrate their growth alongside classmates.
To help ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience for all, please review the important details below:
📍 Location Update
Due to wind damage at the Gering track, this year’s meet will be held at the Scottsbluff Track at Bluffs Middle School. We are grateful for their partnership and support in making this event possible.
⏰ Event Schedule
The meet will be divided by grade level:
4th Grade: 9:00–11:00 AM
5th Grade: 12:30–2:30 PM
🏃 Student Participation
Students will participate in at least two events. Options may include activities such as the softball throw and 50-meter dash. Students will select their events during P.E. classes in the days leading up to the meet.
🎒 What to Bring
Students should come prepared for a full morning or afternoon outdoors:
Athletic clothing and proper footwear
Water bottle
Sunscreen
📣 Spectator Information
Families are encouraged to attend and cheer on our Bulldogs. To ensure safety and respect for the facility:
Please remain in the stands and off the field
Help keep the area clean by picking up trash
Join us in being respectful guests at Scottsbluff

In the event of inclement weather, the track meet will be canceled.
