Gering's Graduation Rate Remains High

Gering Public Schools graduated over 93% of students in 2015 according to a report released by the Nebraska Department of Education.  The district's graduation rate of 93.29% exceeds the statewide rate of 88.89% by well over four percent and continues a trend of increased graduation rates in Gering.

"Gering Public Schools students, staff, and parents are clearly committed to preparing all of our students for their future beyond high school.  Each person who touches the lives of our students holds some responsibility and credit for our high graduation rates and the success of our students both while they attend GPS and after they leave us.  Graduation from high school opens unlimited doors for students," said Bob Hastings, Gering Public Schools Superintendent.

Relationships between staff and students as well as the support of families are the foundation of the quality education that GPS students receive.  Visitors to Gering schools have repeatedly noted the strength of relationships that exist between students at staff in the district.
