GPS Strengths

Academic Success

In a Class B district the size of Gering Public Schools, students have options. With a variety of classes, all students are challenged and personally encouraged to find their individual path. In addition to a number of honors level classes, Bulldogs can take college level classes and have the potential to earn countless college credit hours - all before leaving high school. Our core classes develop critical thinking to teach our students to solve problems, not merely memorize data.  In a society of those who only consume, our students will be the creators and producers. Bulldog graduates leave high school ready to extend their learning, to contribute and to succeed.

 Dedicated Educators

Gering Public Schools is fortunate and honored to have a qualified, caring staff dedicated to each of our students. The staff is filled with experts in curriculum who also develop relationships with our students to ensure a successful educational journey. Our educators devote many hours to constantly improving their techniques and knowledge, with nearly 60 percent of teachers holding a master's degree. Our support staff creates a positive learning environment for all students. You will not be disappointed with the level of dedication to our students by the staff at Gering Public Schools.
