Welcome to Gering Public Schools Office of Student Services. As Director of Student Services, I have the privilege and the responsibility to assist Gering staff in providing our students with programs and services that assure all students a high quality education.
Our department is committed to providing the necessary resources that support student learning and achievement. These resources include staff that have highly specialized skills in a variety of areas including nursing, counseling, school psychology, occupational and physical therapy, speech/language therapy, early childhood education, vision and hearing, behavior and resource services. In addition, we strive to provide opportunities for students through our alternative programs: Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO), Gering Alternative Program (GAP) and High Ability Learners (HAL). Working with our local Educational Service Unit, we also utilize off site programs such as Life Links, Valley Alternative Learning Transitioning School (VALTS) and Meridian school.
