2017-2018 School Year Information

The first day of school is right around the corner! Most students will begin school on Thursday, August 17. All students in grades 1st through 7th and 9th through 12th will begin on August 17. Kindergarten students will begin on either August 17 or 18. You will receive notice of which day your kindergartner is set to begin. Students in the 8th grade will begin school on Friday, August 18.


2017 Eclipse Activities Planned

Gering Public Schools will celebrate the total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st!  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we want to make this something special that students will remember for years to come.  In order to help you understand the event, we have some information about the eclipse and the day for our students.  In addition,
